2024-2025 Meenan Oil Contract

The prices for this agreement were locked in on September 30, 2024.  

The BCA has entered into a new oil contract with Meenan Oil for BCA members. Please pick an option and respond to Meenan Oil. The new contract pricing period will be in effect from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2025. 

Please pick the option that works best for you. 

Option A – BCA Premium Service Plan (traditional plan)

This includes the signature offerings we have always received: 

• Dedicated BCA phone number that gets priority.
• 2-hour response time for emergency service.
• 24 hour x 7 days a week coverage.
• This is an all-inclusive plan which covers additional heating zones and separate hot water heaters if applicable.
• It also includes boiler and basement oil tank replacement when defective due to normal use. 

If you select this option, the prices are:

• Fixed price per gallon is $3.589 OR ceiling price per gallon is $3.699
• $84.95 fee for the service plan, regularly priced at $1,132.95 (includes BCA membership dues for the 2025 year)

Option B – BCA Standard Service Plan – The following are excluded from this option: (boiler replacement, hot water coil / gasket and exposed heating pipes and oil tank replacement coverage)

Except the boiler replacement, hot water coil/gasket and exposed heating pipes and oil tank replacement coverage, Option B includes the coverage in Option A – BCA Premium Service Plan. 

The BCA Standard Plan is the best offering provided by Meenan to most of their customers. If you do not have an older boiler or oil tank, and are not worried about them failing, then this option could be for you.

If you select this option, the prices are:

• Fixed price per gallon is $3.439, OR ceiling price per gallon is $3.549. 
• $84.95 fee for the service plan regularly priced at $1,132.95 (includes BCA membership dues for the 2025 year).

An Early Termination Fee of $399.00 is applied if you cancel before the pricing period ends. The pricing period is from December 1, 2024 to November 30, 2025.

The Meenan oil contract for BCA members expires November 30, 2022, and below are the terms for the new 2023 contract (December 1, 2022 to November 30, 2023).  

As you are aware, oil prices this year have skyrocketed and have been very volatile. On Friday, November 18, 2022, heating oil prices were at the lowest we had seen in over a month, and we took the opportunity to lock in rates with Meenan. Some sites like Newsday are predicting oil prices to touch $6+ per gallon, but we never know what will happen. 

This year, due to the higher oil rates, we were able to negotiate an additional contract option with Meenan, with lower oil prices for our members. You can choose what works best for you. See details below: 

Option A – BCA Premium Service Plan (The Traditional Plan we have always received)  

This plan includes the signature offerings we have always received:  

-        Dedicated BCA phone number that gets priority 

-        2-hour response time for emergency service 

-        24-hour x 7 days a week coverage 

-        This is an all-inclusive plan which covers additional heating zones and separate hot water heaters if applicable. 

-        It also includes boiler and basement oil tank replacement when defective due to normal use.

If you select this option, the prices are 

-        Fixed price per gallon is $5.119 OR Ceiling price per gallon is $5.319 

-        $79 fee for the service plan (includes BCA membership dues for the 2023 year) 

Option B – BCA Standard Service Plan (New offering without boiler replacement and tank replacement coverage) 

This plan includes everything in “Option A - BCA Premium Service Plan”, just the boiler replacement coverage and oil tank replacement coverage will be EXCLUDED.   

While this plan is being called the “BCA Standard Plan,” this is still the best offering provided by Meenan to most of their customers. If you do not have an older boiler or oil tank, and are not worried about them failing, then this option could be for you. 

If you select this option, the prices are: 

-        Fixed price per gallon is $4.939, OR Ceiling price per gallon is $5.139  

-        $79 fee for the service plan (includes BCA membership dues for the 2023 year) 

An “Early Termination Fee” of $399.00 is applied if you cancel before the pricing period ends.
